Blogging is all about writing. So if you want to grow as a blogger, you need to grow as a writer first. If you succeed in getting known as an authority writer, it is highly likely that your blog will also gain some recognition as an authority blog too.

How to write great copywriting

To become an authority writer you would need to do the following :-

1. Pick up your niche

Just pick up that niche on which you can write a lot about and easily too. Many bloggers particularly newbies tend to get attracted to popular niches like “Tech” niche and start writing about it without even knowing a word and this can really hurt your reputation as writer, because your reputation starts building with your article-1.  So choose your niche carefully.

2. Guest Posting and Article Submission

Select a few popular blogs of your niche and start writing for them. Such blogs have huge traffic and your article will get a lot of exposure in such a way. Besides this you will also gain backlinks and traffic to your blog. You should also submit your articles to famous article directories like Ezine, ArticleBase etc.

3. Be a reader first

To be a successful writer, you will need to be a reader too. Make it a habit to read articles of your niche. It will not only help you in gaining some knowledge but will also enhance your vision and writing skills.

4. Engage with your readers

It is very important to get engaged with your readers. So do reply to their comments, solve their problems and do all sorts of things to interact with them.

5. Write with Pen and Paper

Well this might sound odd, but yes tis is true. To write a quality article just switch off your PC or Laptop, get pen and paper and start writing. You can even go to some park, cafeteria etc to write.

This works fine for me , so it might work for you as well.

Thanks for reading it out, please share your views through comments 🙂

Readers are bread and butter of any blog, so its always good to have a large reader base for your blog. However you don’t get to earn much from them, as a regular reader is less likely to click on the ads, but to have them in large number certainly helps in making a brand of your blog.

Increase Blog Readers

Its not an easy task to build a large reader base. It can’t be done overnight, it is a gradual process and involves slowly converting first time visitors into your regular readers. Here in this article we are sharing, what we think can help you increase your blog’s reader base.

Speed Matters

If your blog/site takes more than 5 seconds to load, chances are that the user will not even visit your blog. The internet community comprises of very busy and information hungry people, so if your blog/site takes too much of time to load, they will simply look for some other blog/site for the information.

Design

Once the user enters your blog/site, then overall layout and design is the first thing he/she observes knowingly or unknowingly. Your blog/site should be easy to navigate and all useful links from your blog should be easily visible somewhere in the sidebar or so.

Using Feeds Effectively

Feed is something that your regular readers will be more concerned with. Don’t forget to put up a Feed button somewhere in the blog, preferably in the sidebar. Along with promoting your blog do promote your feeds as well.

Why I Leverage Most of Social Sites & How Does it Work?

Social MediaSocial media is slowly but surely taking over our lives. From www.fb.com to YouTube, Twitter to Flickr, people are spending more and more time online.

Some say this is a horrible development for the human race. With our face lit by the glow of computer screen all the time, we’re missing out on “human” interactions.

But the truth is that social media offers a wide variety of ways to have human interactions, it’s just a different form of human interaction than most people are used to.

One to Many

In his book Here Comes Everybody, Clay Shirky discusses the difference between old and new media. Primarily, old media is characterized by a “one to many” distribution model.  Think about a nightly newscast:

There is one anchor who presents the news through one camera, to millions of people across the country. But that interaction is only one way. As viewers, we cannot question the newscaster, we cannot submit our own opinions, and we can’t interact with other viewers besides those who are in the room with us.

Many to One and Few to Few

Conversely, the new social media has an interactive model.

On a blog, I may be able to post my opinions, but readers have the ability to make comments, ask questions, criticize, and more in near real time.

Then I have the ability to communicate back as fast as I deem necessary, creating a “many to one” two-way relationship. But as other readers read my blog and comments, they are no longer confined to communicating with me, they have the freedom to interact with anyone else who has left a comment.

Thus the relationship has changed from a “one to many” to “many to one” and finally to a “few to few” relationship. With every blog post, I can create the ability for a “few to few” dynamic to form.

New Communities

As these “few to few” relationships arise, new communities are formed organically by people who share the same opinions or have the same viewpoints (or differing viewpoints).

It may not be face to face, but the interaction exists nonetheless and may be more compelling than the interactions we have with people who are physically in our lives.

That is one of the reasons why social media is becoming so popular. It allows us the ability to interact with each other in new and interesting ways that were not possible more than 10 years ago—and in ways that we may find more compelling than our “real” lives.

Thanks a lot for reading. If you like this post, do leave your comment.

featuredblogger-300x300I’m the featured blogger tonight! That’s like knowing you’re having a party this weekend, and all your friends have rsvp’d that they wouldn’t miss it. I’m excited to have everyone visiting my blog, and I can’t wait to stop by and see you all. Don’t worry, I’ll bring the wine. (And chocolate for those underage.)

Thank you so much to the two awesome hosts, both for letting me participate, as well as hosting this event each week. I’d prefer you follow by email, or by Bloglovin.

Twilight seems to truly be a love-it or hate-it type of book, but personally I can’t help loving it.

Reading Twilight was the first time that I was reading the same book as a lot of other people, and everyone was keen to talk about it, and that was fun. A dear friend of mine suggested it to me, and after a lot of arm twisting I agreed to read it.

Then I couldn’t stop, it was addicting. My husband read it after I did, and he really liked it too. We went to the midnight release at B&N for Breaking Dawn, and he took off work so I could stay up all night and read without having to worry about watching the kids during the day. Then he read it while I slept. We also saw all the movies together, and that was really special.

I’m going to try to get a photo of my puppy chilling with Twilight, but in case I can’t, here is a photo of my shelf of honor, where I keep my hardcover set displayed. I actually took this photo the day the proof of my first book’s paperback came in the mail, but it doesn’t usually sit there.

While you are here, you may want to check my giveaways–following my blog earns you entries. Want to join in on the Feature and Follow fun? Sign up below.
